The Town of Blandford is seeking candidates to fill a part-time Fire Chief position responsible for overseeing the operation of the all-volunteer department, pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 48, Section 42. Candidates must have three to five years’ experience, with minimum of two years in supervisory position, in fire/EMS service. The compensation for this 19.5-hour-a-week position is $23.00-25.00 an hour. The Town of Blandford is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.

Public Hearing – February 8, 2023 – Planning Board

Pursuant to MGL, CH40A Sec. 9, the Planning Board will hold a Public Hearing at the Blandford Town Hall, 1 Russell Stage Road, Blandford, MA 01008 at 6:00pm on February 8, 2023. This hearing is scheduled under the following Zoning By-Laws of the Town of Blandford: Section IX – Site Plan Review and Special Permits and XV – Adult Use Marijuana Establishments. of the Zoning By-Laws of the Town of Blandford to consider the application for a Site Plan Review and Special Permit for PUDDING HILL FARM, LLC, Marijuana Cultivation Project, located at 1 Julius Hall Road, Blandford, MA 01008. This application is for a Tier 1 Cannabis Cultivation Facility.

The applicants, Thomas W. Fielding and Michael Scott O’Connor propose to start a small indoor heritage marijuana cultivation facility in an existing, renovated barn, located on 1 Julius Hall Road, Lot No. 414-0-17 which consists of 3.6 acres, that is currently zoned as Agricultural and Undeveloped.
