Qualifications: Accuracy, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, excellent customer service skills are required. Applicant should have at least four years of experience in accounting, auditing, banking or general finance in a setting dealing with the public; working knowledge of the pertinent laws, legal controls, methods and procedures with respect to municipal collections and finance required. TOWN ADMINISTRATOR
The Town of Blandford, population 1,259 with operating budget of $4.3 million, seeks a professional candidate for the position of Town Administrator to assure effective management of town affairs and operation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws, rules and regulations and within mandated DOR and Mass General Laws. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Selectboard to monitor town departments, activities, and projects. This includes coordinating the financial process, provide budget oversight and capital planning, coordinate human resource functions and community development initiatives, and oversee public construction and procurements. Working knowledge of principles and practices of municipal finance, budgeting, and personnel administration is required. The salary range for this benefited full-time position is $50,000 to $64,000 annually depending on qualifications and experience.

WATER SUPERINTENDENT
The Town of Blandford is a small community in southwestern Massachusetts. The Blandford Water Department provides water to approximately 67% of the Town’s population. There are a total of 238 connections, including two Interstate 90 (Massachusetts Turnpike) service areas, serving an estimated 875 people. There is no municipal sewer system in Blandford. Blandford Water Department is supplied solely from Long Pond Reservoir. The treatment plant, located adjacent to Long Pond, went online in July 2007 with an average day design flow of 130,000 gpd. The treatment process consists of a packaged enhanced slow sand filtration system.

Job Description
The Town of Blandford is seeking a part-time Water Superintendent, 4 hours min per day at the plant, 1 hour distribution M-F as well as those required on an emergency basis. The primary function of this position is to plan, direct and budget all activities and operations of the Water Department related to raw water supply, water treatment, distribution, metering and backflow prevention, managing daily operations, the use of materials and human resources, as well as complete all administrative oversight duties, related documentation and resident interaction in a timely manner and abide by all municipal, state, and federal guidelines. This position requires a minimum of a valid State Water Treatment Plant Operator’s Certification or T2 full minimum, 2D in training required by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts which are current and in good standing.
