Emergency Notification: February 3, 2023

Strong winds, low temperatures and dangerously cold wind chill are forecast throughout Friday, February 3rd and Saturday, February 4th in Blandford. Fire Chief Adam Dolby will be opening the Fire Training Center at the Post Office building as a warming and recharging center for residents. If needed, the Town Hall gym will be opened to accommodate larger numbers. We urge residents to consider their elderly and mobility-impaired neighbors in making preparations for any potential loss of power that may necessitate use of the warming center.

In an effort to ensure adequate access to warming facilities, the Blandford Fire Department is asking that residents call 9-1-1 if they are in need of these services. This will enable the Department to respond and allow access to the center as necessary.

Thank you.
