10 to 10 Helpline

10 to 10 helplineThe 10 to 10 Helpline has been recently launched for people at risk of harming their intimate partner. This new resource is the first of its kind in the United States. It is unique in that it focuses on individuals at risk of harming their intimate partner rather than focusing on the victim or survivor.

Helpline responders focus on interrupting abuse and supporting long-term safety and change. The Helpline is also available for the family, friends, and service providers of these individuals, so they too will have the support they need to address potential or ongoing harm.

As the name suggests the 10 to 10 Helpline operates from 10AM to 10PM, 7 days a week. It is free and confidential.

Interfaith group creates inspirational video for victims and survivors of domestic violence

The Hilltown Domestic Violence Interfaith Initiative was launched in 2015 after members of the Southern Hilltown Domestic Violence Task Force learned that people who experience trauma are five times more likely to seek the aid of faith leaders than any other profession. The group works to educate the community and faith leaders, and holds an annual vigil to send a message of hope to all those who are mistreated by a partner or spouse. This year, due to COVID, the 4th Annual Vigil was cancelled and replaced by this Virtual Prayer Flag Project in hopes of continuing to spread hope and connection throughout the hilltowns. Please take a moment to view the video project on YouTube here.

Anyone facing domestic or sexual violence can call (413) 693-9977 to speak with an advocate. To learn more about the Initiative community members can email the Task Force at [email protected] or visit the Task Force on Facebook.
