Transfer Station Rules & Regulations – UPDATED 5/30/17
Clear bags are REQUIRED and may be purchased at the Blandford Country Store during normal business hours.
- Separate all recyclable items brought to the transfer station.
- Household trash placed into the compactor. Bags must be clear.
- All recyclable glass, plastic and tin placed into the recycling container.
- Scrap metal is accepted at no charge and placed in the metal container.
- All recyclable paper products must be broken down flat and placed in the paper recycling container.
- Tires are accepted for a fee and go into the tire container. No Rims. Oversized and tractor tires must be cut in half.
- Wood scrap and bulk household items are accepted for a fee. See attendant for price list.
- Oil and Anti-freeze are accepted at no charge. See attendant for assistance. NO PAINT OR HAZARDOUS WASTE. Up to 5 gal. oil per person, per visit.
- Please consider donating your clean soda/beer bottles and cans to the recycling shed, currently sponsored by the Blandford Scouts.
- Batteries are accepted, for a fee providing that they are sealed with tape.
- Electronics are accepted for a fee and go into the electronics shed. See attendant.
- Fluorescent bulbs are accepted for a fee. OR the “orange builders box store” accepts them free of charge.
- Refrigerators (doors removed) and Air Conditioners are accepted for a fee. See attendant. Bring a friend, attendants can’t help you move them.
