Transfer Station Rules & Regulations – UPDATED 5/30/17

Clear bags are REQUIRED and may be purchased at the Blandford Country Store during normal business hours.

  1. Separate all recyclable items brought to the transfer station.
  2. Household trash placed into the compactor. Bags must be clear.
  3. All recyclable glass, plastic and tin placed into the recycling container.
  4. Scrap metal is accepted at no charge and placed in the metal container.
  5. All recyclable paper products must be broken down flat and placed in the paper recycling container.
  6. Tires are accepted for a fee and go into the tire container. No Rims. Oversized and tractor tires must be cut in half.
  7. Wood scrap and bulk household items are accepted for a fee. See attendant for price list.
  8. Oil and Anti-freeze are accepted at no charge. See attendant for assistance. NO PAINT OR HAZARDOUS WASTE. Up to 5 gal. oil per person, per visit.
  9. Please consider donating your clean soda/beer bottles and cans to the recycling shed, currently sponsored by the Blandford Scouts.
  10. Batteries are accepted, for a fee providing that they are sealed with tape.
  11. Electronics are accepted for a fee and go into the electronics shed. See attendant.
  12. Fluorescent bulbs are accepted for a fee. OR the “orange builders box store” accepts them free of charge.
  13. Refrigerators (doors removed) and Air Conditioners are accepted for a fee. See attendant. Bring a friend, attendants can’t help you move them.
