ASSISTANT TREASURER-COLLECTOR/TREASURER-COLLECTOR
The Town of Blandford is seeking candidates to fill an Assistant Treasurer-Collector position responsible for administrative and supervisory work involving the receipt and the collection of all money due to the Town. Candidates must have a minimum of one to three years’ experience in municipal finance. Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or more than three years’ experience in municipal finance preferred. The compensation range for this 28-hour-a-week benefitted position is $23.00 to $24.00 an hour. The right candidate will have the opportunity for promotion to the position of Treasurer-Collector within one year with a 30-to-40-hour-a-week schedule compensated inside the range of $26.00 to $35.00 an hour. A Screening Committee composed of the Treasurer-Collector, Town Accountant, and the Chair of the Board of Assessors, as well as other Town residents and employees, will review applications as they are submitted, , rate essay prompt responses, coordinate initial interviews, and recommend candidates to the Select Board.
